MidoriMerch ~ Our Story!
Going on my THIRD year of officially selling anime merch! This has been such an amazing journey and everyday I am more grateful for the amazing friends, community and every single person that has supported this venture since the get-go!
When the pandemic hit, many things got put on hold. Being a mom of 3 small children and losing hours at work due to the cuts made me re-evaluate what I wanted to do. I had started my own merch collection not so long ago and I was casually selling my extras or getting items for people that wanted the same things I had. It was super fun to share and to build our shelves together as fans of one of the greatest classics of all time - Y Y H!!!
Like many beginners, I navigated through the extensive (and not so affordable!) ebay waters and I either had to pay a premium amount to get the latest and greatest or I ended up disappointed with a dupe or bootleg. Many shared these stories way too often, so I wanted to find a way to take care of everyone that had been in that situation. So along with a very good friend Momo, we started a Buy & Resell Group on Facebook.
Word started to spread out and the group continuously began to grow as we shared our newest collections from Japan. Most of us weren't even aware that to this date and time, Japan was still producing such lovely and amazing collections from a series that just turned 30 last October. In the midst of good sportsmanship of winning those rare items, sharing our collections and sometimes coming up with the funniest memes, everyone welcomed the new members and new friendships started with sharing the same interests. All my mod team is composed of members that turned into besties in no time <3.
I decided to expand and share the joy that I have found in the Merch group to everyone that also loves this series and others to come! I am very thankful for the amazing support, the thoughtfulness and kindness that I have met there. If you are truly looking for a community that will make you feel like family and like you belong, look no further.
I hope I can catch a glimpse of that happiness and translate it here into a fun place where you can find the items that you are looking for as I build this site as well.
